You don’t realize just how much you can do with party balloons. Check out these amazing, creative balloon crafts anyone can do at home!
It’s Friday. Not sure if you’ve been watching the news or social media feeds lately, but the world has gotten pretty serious everywhere you look.
So let’s lighten the mood and have some fun.
We have been scouring the Interwebs for the most creative balloon crafts we could find and we have a pretty cool compilation here for you.
The best part? They’re all super fast and easy to do, but they’ll knock the socks off your guests or children. So let’s go!
1. FLASHING LED BALLOONS
Talk about simple. You can make your own LED balloons at home using essentially just two items: Party balloons and small LED lights. Brit+Co has an excellent step-by-step guide for how to make these at home.
2. THEY CALL IT A BALLOON PHOTO CHANDELIER
This is elegant, creative, and so incredibly simple, yet the resulting display is so beautiful that it’s guaranteed to inspire wedding, anniversary, birthday, and other party guests alike to steal this one from you.
Weddingomania.com has an illustrated guide for making these yourself. And you’ll need helium, but you know where to get helium!
3. CONFETTI BALLOON
Perfect for New Year’s Eve (which isn’t so far away anymore is it?), this is perhaps the simplest of the creative balloon crafts on this list.
You basically just need balloons, confetti, a funnel, and helium.
Aimee Santos shared the DIY details over on Swellmayde.
4. GIANT BALLOON LOLLIPOPS
Party in the land of the giant candies! Like a scene ripped out of Willy Wonka, you can turn your living room or basement into a lollipop playland with these giant “Balloon Pops!”
These are basically just party balloons, cellophane, and the empty tubes from wrapping paper. You get the idea, but if you’re one of those people who like to follow instructions, visit Parents.com here and follow the 6 steps.
No helium needed in this case!
5. CREATIVE BALLOON CRAFTS FOR ADULTS!
We can’t let the kids have all the fun right? We love this trick from A Subtle Revelry for a hot summer party. So simple – just fill up some water balloons and freeze them.
Now you have colorful ice balls to liven up your party AND keep your beverages of choice nice and frigid.
6. TRIPPY ELEGANCE FOR YOUR NEXT NIGHT PARTY
Have a hot tub or a pool? Maybe a waterscape of some sort in your garden?
For your next party that ventures into the dark hours, create an atmosphere unlike any other your guests have experienced at a house or dinner party.
Pinned by Taylor Fabiani, these are just small latex party balloons, filled with air, with a light LED inserted before tying off. Once the mini-balloons are filled and glowing, just float them on the water.
7. SUMMER, WINTER, FIRE, & ICE
In the last of our 7 creative balloon crafts, we have firey balls of ice! This is most easily done in sub-freezing temperatures during the winter (for those of you that have snowy winters), but it could be done in your freezer. The only caveat is they take up a lot of freezer space, particularly if you’re doing lots of them.
These are super cheap to make. All you really need are latex party balloons and tea lights! Check out the simple steps here, at Mad in Crafts.
